This is the transmission of information from a supernatural source, but through another person acting as a messenger. An example of a supernatural source is Yahweh, the God of the Bible.

2 Peter 1:21 says, “For no prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
