2020 Christmas Star and the rise of the antichrist

On December 21st 2020 during the winter solstice, there was a conjunction of two planets, Jupiter and Saturn that excited many who called it the “Christmas star”. They linked it to the biblical sign that is mentioned in the bible that heralded Jesus’ birth. The two planets were the closest they had been observed from earth in 800 years. The excitement this generated was because of the conjunctions proximity to the Christmas holiday. Closer examination of this sign however showed that it did not represent Christ’s birth as many implied. It represented his polar opposite, the antichrist and the start of the tribulation as will be demonstrated shortly.

What is the Winter Solstice?

The winter solstice is the shortest day and longest night of the year. In the Northern Hemisphere, it takes place between December 20 and 23, depending on the year. The reverse is true in the Southern Hemisphere, where the shortest day of the year occurs in June. Cultures around the world have long held feasts and celebrated holidays around the winter solstice. After the solstice, the days get longer, and the day has thus been celebrated in many cultures as a time of rebirth. The winter solstice is the day of the year with the fewest hours of daylight, and it marks the start of astronomical winter. After the winter solstice, days start becoming longer and nights shorter as spring approaches.

Ancient Romans held several celebrations around the time of the winter solstice. Saturnalia, a holiday in honor of Saturn, the god of agriculture, was a weeklong celebration in the days leading up to the winter solstice. Saturnalia was a hedonistic time, when food and drink were plentiful and the normal Roman social order was turned upside down. For a week, slaves would become masters. Peasants were in command of the city. Business and schools were closed so that everyone could join in the fun. (Its interesting that this was an inversion of normal Roman society considering the previous article).

In addition, members of the upper classes often celebrated the birthday of Mithra, on December 25th. Mithra was an ancient Persian god of light. For some Romans, Mithra’s birthday was the most sacred day of the year. Some theorists believe the Church may have chosen the same date for Christmas in order to supplant pagan rituals.

The Revelation 12 sign and Jupiter

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.

Revelations 12:1-2

A celestial arrangement described in Revelations 12 occurred on the 23rd of September, 2017. It involved the constellations Virgo the Woman and Leo the Lion in a formation pictured in the verse. On this day, Leo which is above Virgo and consists of 9 stars had 3 planets (Venus, Mars and Mercury), also called “Wandering” stars aligned under it forming the crown of 12 stars on Virgos head. The Sun was in Virgo, covering the constellation in sunlight. Therefore Virgo was “clothed” with the sun and had the moon under “her” feet. Jupiter, the King Planet had just exited the womb of Virgo in which it had been for several months, depicting child birth. From this sign and Revelation 12, we see that Jupiter represented Jesus and Virgo represented Isreal. It is through Israel that Jesus came to the world.

The same year that this sign occurred, US President Trump declared Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel bringing the restoration of the Temple one step nearer. This was important as some of the major prophecies of the tribulation and the antichrist center around the soon to be rebuilt Jewish Temple. Also since this sign, we have seen unprecedented natural events including record breaking heat waves in some parts of the world, locust invasions and the Coronavirus pandemic that show that the birth pangs that will lead to the rise of the antichrist, the tribulation and the return of Christ to earth have started.

Saturn in greek mythology, a corruption of Revelation 12

So what did the planet Saturn represents in the December 21st sign? To answer that question, we need to go back to ancient history and mythology. Many myths in many cultures around the world seem to be corrupt versions of biblical accounts. A great example is the flood myths that are prevalent around the world in several ancient cultures that correlate with the story of Noah and the Flood.

In Roman and Greek mythology, Saturn was a god. Saturn was especially celebrated during the festival of Saturnalia each December. According to Roman mythology, Saturn, who was the previous king of the gods, began to swallow the children that he had with his wife when they were born. This was because he had been warned that one of his children would overthrow him. Saturn swallowed the children Neptune, Pluto, Ceres, Juno and Vesta. When Ops realized that she was pregnant with Jupiter, she had the baby secretly and moved to Crete, giving a stone wrapped in baby clothes to Saturn for him to eat. Saturn believed he had eaten Jupiter but Jupiter was saved. When this myth is compared to Rev 12:3-6, there is a lot of similarity to what is told in the “myth”!

 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.  She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

Following the earlier interpretation that Jupiter represented Jesus, then Saturn represented the Dragon or Satan who wanted to annihilate Jesus when he came to earth in order to stop him overthrowing Satan’s ruler ship over world affairs!

So what did the 2020 great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn mean? Revelation 12 which mentions characters and elements related to the conjunction refers to two important future events:

1. The establishment of Christ’s Kingdom on earth where he will rule with a rod of Iron.
2. The flight of the woman into the wilderness for refuge for 1260 days. This is a number associated with the tribulation. As earlier established, the Woman represents Israel which will be the focus of the tribulation!

So putting all this together means that the December 21st sign was a warning that the tribulation is about to start. This will lead to the repentance of Israel and the world triggering the return of Jesus and his establishment as the King of the World in the Millennium!

However, the December 21st conjunction happened during the winter solstice which is a celebration of Saturnalia, a pagan festival. We saw that Saturn represents Satan and therefore this sign falling on this day may have been an indication that the world currently glorifies Satan and his ways, an inversion of Gods plan. The culmination of this rebellion will be the establishment of the antichrist as ruler of the world. As was discussed in the previous article, the world is looking for a man to solve its problems instead of looking to God. This is what God is going to judge during the tribulation.

Important timing information?

As has been observed with previous signs and many scriptures, God often connects the suffering of the tribulation with pregnancy and labor as Revelation 12 illustrates. The average time for a full term pregnancy is 40 weeks or 280 days. When we add this to the date of the December 21st sign, we arrive at the the date of 27th of September 2021. This is the last day of the feast of tabernacles in 2021!

This could mean that the month of September 2021 may be prophetically significant in relation to the rise of the antichrist and the tribulation.

The next article will deal with a sign that manifested 7 years ago linked to the 7 years of plenty and 7 years of famine as was revealed in Pharaohs dream in the biblical story of Joseph. This may add weight to this information.
