Dead sea scroll and Iceland volcano confirm dream about God’s wrath

On the 7th of February, one of our contributors Eric made a post about a warning dream he had that clearly pictured Gods wrath pouring down on earth soon. The dream was calling us to repentance. What has caught our attention however is the series of recent events in far off lands that seem to be confirming the message of this dream with stunning precision! Before we delve into these occurrences, lets first address the issue of God speaking through seemingly unrelated events which some think are just coincidences and call us superstitious for deriving meaning out of them.

God speaks through synchronicity

Hebrew, one of the main languages in which the bible was written has no word for “coincidence” . The bible only uses the word coincidence once, and its in the New Testament which was written in Greek. According to gotquestions.org,

The word coincidence is used only once in the New Testament, and it was by Jesus Himself in the parable of the Good Samaritan. In Luke 10:31, Jesus said, “And by a coincidence a certain priest was going down in that way, and having seen him, he passed over on the opposite side.” The word coincidence is translated from the Greek word synkyrian, which is a combination of two words: sun and kurios. Sun means “together with,” and kurious means “supreme in authority.” So a biblical definition of coincidence would be “what occurs together by God’s providential arrangement of circumstances.”

This matches the Jewish mindset of events never being a random set of occurrences but God ordained happenings according to his will. This is important to keep in mind as we proceed to share the connections between recent events and the previously shared dream.

Gods warning to the church

The warning dream Eric had several weeks back was as follows,

On the morning of the 22nd of January at around 4 am, I had a terrifying dream! I was in my home town which is quite hilly and borders another nation. Suddenly I saw huge fireballs hitting the largest hill which was so big, it also looked like a mountain. The fireballs were coming from the neighboring country. I initially thought it was artillery fire from this country and that we were at war with it. The number and intensity of fireballs hitting the mountain started to increase. What was fascinating was that as the fireballs increased, they started crushing and burning huge stones and breaking down parts of the mountain to the same level as the valley beside it! The fire was doing this with ease and great power, and in the process, the soil and vegetation was also being burnt up! Every time a fireball would strike the mountain, there were monsters that would come out of the mountain and ran away! The last creature I saw exit the mountain and ran away from the fire strikes was a red dragon! I called my sisters to show them what was happening to the mountain which was far from my home. As I pointed to the mountain and what was happening there, I told my sisters that it’s the end of the world! Since the fires intensity was very high, the knuckles of my hands started to burn and I had to withdraw my hand and woke up screaming, “The world has come to an end!”

The dream was a warning mainly to the church about Gods coming judgment so that she would prepare by repenting and reaching out to the lost. (A more elaborate interpretation of the dream was posted along with the original article and can be viewed here.)

Gods warning to Israel and the world

A few weeks after this post was published, an important discovery was made in Israel. Fragments of a new dead sea scroll were found in the Cave of Horror in the Judean desert. Also uncovered was a 6,000-year-old skeleton of a partially mummified child. The archeologists who found the scrolls were able to make out two scriptures written in Greek, one from Zechariah 8:16-17 and another from Nahum 1:5-6. However, it was this second scripture that stood out considering the dream above. The scripture said,

“The mountains quake because of Him, And the hills melt. The earth heaves before Him, The world and all that dwell therein. Who can stand before His wrath? Who can resist His fury? His anger pours out like fire, and rocks are shattered because of Him.”

Nahum 1:5-6

When we compared the scripture and the dream, we could immediately see striking similarities:

  • In the dream, there was a hill so large that it looked like a mountain. The scripture mentions mountains quaking and hills melting.
  • The scripture says Gods wrath pours out like fire and asks who can stand it or resist Gods fury. The dream answers this question by depicting monsters fleeing the mountain because of fire raining down on it, including a dragon, a creature often portrayed as fierce and fearless. Not even such a powerful creature, used to represent Satan in the bible can stand Gods wrath!
  • The scripture mentions rocks shattering because of Gods fury. The dream mentions fireballs crushing and burning huge stones and breaking down parts of the mountain to the same level as the valley beside it.
  • The scroll fragments were found in the “Cave of Horror”. Eric started his account of the dream by describing it as terrifying!

The parallels between the dream and the scripture are clear. This was a declaration by God to Israel and the world about coming judgment as millions read, watched and listened to the story about the discovery of the new dead sea scroll on several main stream news platforms.

A picture is worth a thousand words!

As the week within which the dead sea scroll story broke was ending, the Fagradals Mountain volcano in Iceland erupted on Friday the 19th of March. Even though it was a small eruption, this was a big story due to its proximity to the capital of Iceland, Reykjavík. For weeks before the eruption, Icelanders living near the mountain had experienced a swarm of earthquakes. So why did we think this eruption was different from any other that happen from time to time and how does it relate to the dream and the new dead sea scroll? It was said by experts that the Fargradals Mountain volcano been dormant for 6000 years! This connects back to the scroll which was found with a 6000 year mummy of a child. Not only that, the eruption was a picture of Gods wrath which Nahum said pours out like fire, quakes mountains, shakes hills and shatters rocks just like a volcano! Keep in mind that this was just a few days after the reports about the new dead sea scroll. That story was still fresh in the minds of many and so some must have seen the connection to the scripture, even though they most likely dismissed it. What are the odds of a volcano erupting just after the discovery of an ancient scroll depicting a similar scene, and both events having 6000 years linked to them?

One day is like a thousand

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

2 Peter 3:8

It took God 6 days to create the universe and he rested on the 7th day. When man sinned, God had to resume working for another 6000 years to restore him. After Jesus comes back to establish his kingdom on earth, he will rule for 1000 years after defeating the antichrist and Satan at the end of the tribulation (Revelations 20:1-6). This will be Gods “day” of rest. Is God signaling that the 6000 years of mans reign of sin, death and destruction are coming to an end? Is he telling us that the 1000 years of Gods rest are about to start? We feel that this is part of the message he is giving through the dream and events.

One witness is not enough to convict anyone accused of any crime or offense they may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses
