The Sign of Taurus and the coming Tribulation

This year, a sign in the constellation of Taurus will be used by God to send an important message, one that we have been hearing over and over again during the past few weeks.

The Feast

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night. They will serve as signs for festivals and for days and years...”

Genesis 1:14

This year, the Jewish feast of weeks also known as the feast of Pentecost starts on the evening of the 28th of May and ends on the evening of the 30th of the same month. It was on this feast that according to Jewish tradition, Moses received the law from God on Mount Sinai. It is also the day that God poured out his spirit on the disciples after the ascension of Jesus in Acts 2.

This year, there is going to be a celestial event in the heavens during this feast. Whenever there is such an event on a Jewish feast day, God is always communicating something. So what message will God be sending?

The Sign

There is a constellation called Taurus, the bull which consists of several stars. One of the star clusters in Taurus is called the Pleiades, also called the 7 Sisters.

A comet was discovered on the 28th of December 2019. This was during the Jewish feast of Hannukah that run from 22nd to 30th December of that year. The comet was named ATLAS. This comet will have a conjunction with the Pleiades on the 29th of May during the feast of Pentecost.

As will be shown shortly, these events carry a prophetic significance for our time when examined closely.

The Word

The celestial events described above show a parallel to what is recorded in the book of Revelation chapter 1 about the vision John had about Jesus.

Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.

The Parallels

As already mentioned, comet ATLAS was discovered during the feast of Hannukah in 2019, a feast which is celebrated by lighting the branches of a special menorah over a course of eight days, using a candle at the center of the menorah. In Revelation 1, Jesus is standing in the midst or middle of the lampstands.

The same comet will pass very close to the Pleiades, a group of stars in the constellation of Taurus, also called the 7 sisters. Jesus had 7 stars in his right hand representing the 7 churches he sends messages to in the book of revelation.

The Comet

Its interesting that up until the 18th century, comet sightings were majorly interpreted as omens of bad things to come. They were believed to be Gods messengers to warn of coming war, sickness, famine, plague or death as a result of his displeasure. The discovery of this comet happened just three days before the coronavirus outbreak in China was officially made known to the World Health Organization by the country.

It was hoped that this comet would be bright enough to be seen with the naked eyes but this will not be possible as it has since broken into pieces. This comet will enter the constellation of Taurus on the 26th of May and will pass very close to the Pleiades on the 29th of May during Pentecost. In Greek mythology, the Pleiades are the 7 daughters of the god Atlas.

During the time frame between the comets discovery and conjunction with the Pleiades, the world has been ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic which has infected over 5,000,000 people and killed more than 300,000 people world wide!

The Bull

The 12 signs of the Zodiac were originally created by God to tell the story of redemption through Christ and this was well documented in E.W. Bullinger’s book, The Witness of the Stars. This is what Bullinger says about Taurus where the Pleiades star cluster resides,

I already mentioned how the stars of the Pleiades, or 7 sisters are also linked to the church in the book of Revelation. Bullinger also elaborates on this further in regards to Taurus.

Every thing points to the important truth, and all turns on the fact that the Lord is coming to rule! This is the central truth of all prophecy. “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” All hope for Creation, all hope for the world, all hope for Israel, all hope for the Church, turns on this, that “Jesus is coming again,” and that when He comes His saints, “the daughters of the King” (like the Pleiades and Hyades), will be with Him. There is nothing of “the Church” revealed here. The Church will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, to be for ever with the Lord (1 Thess. iv. 17) before He thus comes unto the world in judgment. He will come forth to receive the members of His Body unto Himself, before He thus comes with them to destroy all His enemies and “judge (or rule) the world in righteousness.” When we read this Sign of Taurus, therefore, we are to understand that His Church will be with Him, safe from all judgment.

The Witness of the Stars Pg 122, E.W. Bullinger

We know that also between the rapture of the church and the second coming of Jesus to earth with his saints, there will be 7 years of tribulation during which the antichrist will rule the earth. Are the stars of the 7 sisters (Pleiades) also alluding to this?

The Dream

In 2018, my wife had a dream connected to the Pleiades star cluster which seems to confirm its significance. This was her dream as narrated by her,

On the morning of 1st September, I had a dream where I was in a big room that seemed to be a school dormitory. We were all engaged in different activities but were generally relaxing. A girl then came into the room and she said, “you guys come quickly and see the stars. It is amazing! You need to see the order in which they are aligned!” She knew the stars by name but I do not remember the names she used. I ran out of the room and I kept thinking to myself that this was something very important. When I got outside I looked up and I saw a set of four stars in one line, then slightly below them, there was another set of stars. The second set had three stars and these were also in a straight line, giving a total of seven stars. The stars were so big and clearly visible. They shone so bright! No one else left the room, they all went on with whatever they were doing, like they did not hear what the girl had said. As I was looking up at the stars, I kept saying, “JESUS IS COMING! JESUS IS COMING! JESUS IS COMING!….’’

But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.
