World ready for the Mark of the Beast

Just a few year ago, when bible prophecy teachers described the technologies and systems that would be in place to give the antichrist total control of the world based on the predictions of the bible, their “claims” seemed ridiculous!

The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

Even the bible’s assertion that all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave who would not have the mark of the beast would not be able to buy or sell anything seemed impossible until the birth of the internet and the mobile phone. More than 5 billion people now own a mobile phone, half of which are smartphones! That’s not all, these two technologies have made access to financial services easier. Then came the social media revolution, which enabled people to become more connected than ever before wherever and whenever. As of December 2018, Facebook, the largest social media company has over 2 billion active users every month.

Most of the phones today run either Google’s Android OS or Apple’s IOS requiring most users to have accounts with these companies to be able to enjoy the full benefits of the the phones. As a result, these tech companies have become very powerful and potential centralized points of control. Think about it, your phone has a lot of your information like contacts, emails, social media accounts, photos, important days on the calendar, location data, financial data, even health data. All this information is fully accessible to these companies!

The power held by these companies, and the people who influence them was put on display a few days ago. As a result of the ongoing trade war between the US and China, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order last week that led to the Chinese telecommunications giant, Huawei being blocked by Google from accessing updates of the Android operating system on their devices. This meant that new versions of Huawei smart devices outside China would lose access to popular applications and services including Google Play, Maps and the Gmail app, but existing users would apparently continue having access. Can you imagine the disruption and chaos if such a move was done to existing users? Yet the bible says that the antichrist WILL have this kind of disruptive power over individuals.

This centralized power to influence and disrupt peoples lives is now being combined with digital currency in preparation for the mark of the beast. Multiple news sources have now confirmed that Facebook, which also owns Whatsapp and Instagram will be launching a cryptocurrency next year called GlobalCoin. According to the BBC,

Facebook wants to create a digital currency that provides affordable and secure ways of making payments, regardless of whether users have a bank account.

This is a very significant development considering Facebook’s global influence and reach and confirms what has been previously revealed by God. Below is an excerpt of a post i made last year about a coming financial crash.

Also several bible researchers believe that in order for the new financial system controlled by the antichrist to be fully established, our current one needs to be dismantled and this would involve some kind of crash or even a war. In fact in 1988, the Economist magazine had a cover that seemed to predict this in an interesting way.

The cover featured a global currency that the magazine called the Phoenix. A Phoenix is shown rising from paper money that is burning. The Phoenix Coin on the cover also has the year 2018, because the magazine predicted the rise of this currency to be around this year. Some see this as a prediction of Bitcoin which has become popular in recent months and has sparked interest in other Cryptocurrencies. Could Cryptocurrencies be a way to gradually wean people off paper money to digital money in preparation of the “mark of the beast”? Time will tell.
