We are the Terminal Generation before the Millennium

On the night of 6^th January 2011, I prayed and entered bed having just had a quarrel with a friend of mine. I had however apologized to the person and sought to correct things with God too by repenting before I slept off. As I lay in my bed that night trying to dose off, a persistent thought began to emerge in my mind that, “This is Holy Ground”. I fought it off and went to sleep.

Later that night I was in my bed in a light sleep and then I sensed a presence that moved in the room on one side of the bed past my closed eyes to the foot of my bed. I can best describe the experience as the sensation you would get when a flashlight beam was made to move past your eyes while they were shut. I immediately opened my eyes to see what just moved but didn’t see anything. The room was completely dark. I was freaked out and turned to the other side of my bed which was against a wall. I prayed to God to take away fear in my life, picked up my iPod touch beside my pillow and put on Don Moen’s ‘Thank you Lord’ album out loud through the player’s in built speaker and went back to sleep. I did not feel the need to pray against anything.

I fell asleep again and the next thing I knew I was at a location where some kind of “event” was going on, like a Christian conference. But I was in a particular room at the location which didn’t have anyone.  The room felt like it was some kind of waiting area. Suddenly I realized God himself was at my back and I was lying face down, and pinned by some kind of force on my spine at the lower part of my back. It almost felt like He had his foot on my back. It felt like a light electric current. When I tried to look towards my back, I was restricted, and couldn’t do so fully. However I did manage to see a collapsed structure behind me which I soon realized was the Tabernacle, and I perceived that the front left part was on my back. It didn’t feel like it was a burden. (see Matt 11:30)

As I struggled to look towards God at my back he began to talk to me. He greeted me and told me not to look back. He made it clear that he was only comfortable with my current physical position so I shouldn’t try to look back. But I also sensed amusement at my futile attempts to look back. He then told me in a loving friendly tone that he looked forward to us getting to know each other in the next few years. The word few disturbed me, so with boldness I didn’t know I had, I asked him whether I was going to die. His answer was that we were living in the last days and he promised he would always come down and be with me at similar “events”. He however told me in an almost parental tone that if I got involved in things like quarrels, he wouldn’t come down, clearly referring to the quarrel I had with my friend before I went to sleep.

While he was telling me about it being the last days, I realized there was a wall in front of me with some light being projected from behind me coming from the God’s presence. There was a shadow of a hand with 3 fingers raised. I got the sense that He was indicating to me indirectly that there are not many years left to Christ’s return. During the conversation, I realized that I felt like I was talking to a friend, a person who has always known about me, who loves me very much and who is actually looking forward to talking to me again and getting to know me. Also all through the conversation, God was busy building the collapsed tabernacle behind me (See Hebrews 9:11-12). From the book of Hebrews, I know that in many ways, the Tabernacle is representative of Christ and the work God is doing through Him to save man. I knew that the Tabernacle is a pattern of intimacy with God which He has established himself.

All through the experience, there was an intense feeling of God’s love which was very pleasant and which I have never forgotten. Immediately we finished talking I woke up from the sleep and physically felt remnants of the energy on my back lifting. I woke up asking myself, “What in the world just happened?!”

Elaboration of some elements of the dream

Though this vivid dream was personal, I would like to point out several key things that we can all benefit from and need to take seriously considering the times we find ourselves living in.

Firstly Gods greatest desire is for us to know Him because in the dream, his hope was for us to get to know each other. It is in walking in an active relationship with Him that you will be able to accomplish the purpose for which he created you and therefore attain fulfillment in your life! Acts 17:26-28 says

And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for “in him we live and move and have our being”, as even some of your own poets have said, “for we are indeed his offspring.” (ESV)

Secondly God is Holy and requires us to live Holy lives in order for our relationship with him to be unhindered. He told me that he would not come down and be with me at “similar events” if I was involved in sin, like quarreling. It’s amazing that a lot of the teaching in the church right now actually tones down on the effects of sin. God hates sin and it actually does affect our relationship with him. He made that very clear to me. James 4:1-4 says

What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this that your passions are at war within you? You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (ESV)

Thirdly God was building the collapsed tabernacle all through the dream. This I believe represented Christ and the establishment of Gods literal kingdom here on earth. God wants to be able to dwell (tabernacle) with man again as he did in the Garden of Eden. This is not man’s doing but Gods.  However the greatest sign of God doing this is the re-establishment of Israel in their land. In a prophecy made to Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel, God hinted that the Prime Minister would play a role in the restoration of the “tabernacle of David”. Please read a previous post on this here.  Every week the Jews have a portion of the Old Testament that is read during the Sabbath using an established cycle.  According to Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, one of the portions that had clearly been pre-determined by God to be read on the Sabbath of May 15^th 1948 (Israel’s independence) was Amos 9:11-15 part of which says

“On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old; that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the Gentiles who are called by name,” says the Lord who does this thing…… (NKJV)

Fourthly God said we are living in the last days and that we had a few years. It’s now more than six years since I had that dream! Our time is definitely almost up. The 3 fingers are still a bit of a puzzle to me. However, they reminded me of the sign God sent in Daniel 5, when he wrote on the wall and was warning the king of Babylon of coming judgment to his kingdom. Was God saying that he has sent or will send signs to warn the future king of Babylon, the antichrist that his time is almost up? We have seen many signs since 2011 like the blood moons, the “Bethlehem star”, the great American eclipse and the revelation 12 sign. In a sense, these are Gods writing on the wall about what is coming….

But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and stand before the Son of Man. (ESV)
