Watch Russia!

On the 4th of April, as I was in prayer with my wife, I had a brief vision in which I saw a map of a country being drawn out. The word “Russia” appeared across it. The map was not as large as that of Russia so it may have just been part of it. I then saw a persons arm stretched out in front of me with a watch fastened onto it. The hands of the watch moved quickly across its face, faster than normal and they seemed to stop afterwards.

After meditating on this for a while, I realized that the  Lord was asking us to watch Russia closely in regards to the time we are living in. Bible prophecy has been occurring right before us in slow motion but is now set to happen at a faster rate. If you have been following the news closely, you know that the Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Presidents Tayipp Erdogan of Turkey and Hassan Rouhani of Iran in Turkey on the 4th to discuss how they could stabilize Syria which is Israels neighbor to the North.

This was very significant because these three countries are prophesied to participate in a coming war in Ezekiel 38 and 39 known as the War of Gog and Magog. The three nations led by Russia will be part of a group consisting of others that will attempt to invade Israel apparently from Syria in the the North!

The word of the Lord came to me:  “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog (Russia), the chief prince of Meshek and Tubal (Turkey); prophesy against him  and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshek and Tubal.  I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords.  Persia (Iran), Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you. “‘Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them.  After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. Not only that, President Trump of the United States this week has made known his intention of withdrawing US troops from Syria very soon. The prophecy in Ezekiel apparently makes no mention of the US. It would seem that the stage is  being set for this biblical battle which is prophesied to occur in the last days, which we are clearly living in. We may not know how exactly the events will play out but lets keep watching and praying as God leads as the situation develops.
